I come from a loving family and I have been raised with the idea of unity. In my family, we help one another when there is a need, and we all love to spend as much time together as possible. In our opinion, this is very important because we believe communication and harmony are the elements that can be found at the base of any successful family.

I have been raised by two wonderful people, my mother and father, who married out of love, and have two children: my sister and me. My sister is two years younger than me. My mother and father taught me that communication is vital in any relationships in order to keep the flame going. They have been married for twenty years; it is not very common nowadays. I have learned from them that if two people love each other, they must do all possible in order to maintain healthy and pleasant relationships and to create a special family.

My sister is a very good example of an active, down-to-earth girl who loves to play sports, such as hokey, football, and basketball. She knows how to combine sports with indoor activities such as videogames and society games. We get along great. We spend a lot of time together and always count on each other to solve our problems. As I am the elder brother, I usually help her with her homework, and she always likes and appreciates it. I guess that she makes my family even more special because having another sibling close to your own age is a good way to maintain a healthy family. I also have a dog called Angel who is very attached to me. Sometimes, when I am sick or sad, he likes to come next to me and keep me company, similar to a guardian angel.

Even though we have a rather big family, we never forget about our other relatives. We camp with my aunts, uncles, and many cousins almost ten times a year, and we engage in very fun activities such as swimming, putt-putt, volleyball, riding bikes, and going on boats. This makes my family great and special in many ways, and I am very grateful for being a part of it.
