An artistic piece in form of portraits, landscapes, sculptures, designs and even to the ultimate extends of aesthetics can only be built by blending the thought and the techniques. Therefore, an imaginative artist’s thought and pursuance to foster it needs elegant knacks to develop exceptional arts. There are several institutes that develop student’s skills on the paramount level. At the same time, these institutes also exhibit their developed student’s work to the people to get the feedback.
Pratt Institute is one of those institutes that not only unravel their student’s knacks but also exhibit it as well. I get a chance of visiting an exhibition at Pratt Manhattan Gallery, 144 West 14th Street, Second Floor. I enjoyed my time there and it was an eye opener for me to see the works there.
When I see the art pieces, it is quite obvious that the skills are on high level. But the thing I noticed is sophistication in the art work. The finishing and flourish in each piece of art depicts artist’s keen working and his/her outclass skills that are developed by the institute and its education. Moreover, I have seen every type of art work at Pratt’s exhibition like pictures, portraits, landscapes, sculptures, designs etc., and found each of these up to the mark.
The art work I liked the most is Statue of Liberty sculpture carved of crystal. For me, it is the most attractive; the reason behind it is because it is a sign of liberty and reflects the society we are living in. At the same time, its smart hands creation and shining reflection made it more special to me.
At the end of the review, it is better to restate the thesis that an artistic piece in form of portraits, landscapes, sculptures, designs and even to the ultimate extends of aesthetics can only be built by blending the thought and the techniques. Pratt Manhattan Gallery exhibition made it real to me.
