Introduction
The brain is composed of four important parts; cerebrum, cerebellum, brain stem, limbic system. Cerebrum, also known as the cortex is the largest part and is also divided into four sections known as ‘lobes’. Lobe is an anatomical division of a body organ. Brain lobes are parts of brain that appear to be separated by connective tissues. They include frontal, temporal, parietal and occipital lobes. This paper describes the activities that could be found within the four lobes of my brain.
Body
Frontal lobe is the part of brain that co-ordinates thinking, planning and emotional control. It is located in the central sulcus. Suppose I lose my phone through robbery. I would think about the scene for a while and then plan to buy another phone. Temporal lobe is the central point for sense of smell. Consider a situation where rats have died in a book store. The store has become inhabitable due to stench. I would use my sense of smell to locate the rats and clean the store.

Parietal lobe is the part of brain that integrates sensory information from various senses. Suppose a huge snake appears across the road as I walk. My eyes will see the snake and send signals to the brain. The lobe then sends information to the legs which enables me to run away from the snake. Occipital lobe is the primary receiving area for visual information. An example is where I lose a forty shilling coin in a bushy environment. Through the occipital lobe, I would be able to locate the coin, (Hockenbury, 2007).
Conclusion
In conclusion, lobes of the brain are very essential for life. This is because they enable us to make decisions when faced with situations that could either result to happy or sad moments. It is therefore important for us to apply them in order to make life easier.
