The future of the public healthcare is quite undetermined mainly to the number of the risks that are posed by the modern era. At the same time, considering the progress in technologies and the overall willingness of the countries and governments to overcome some of the public problems, there is a hope that some of them would be indeed resolved. Presented paper aims at identifying the tendencies that are attributive to the future of public healthcare and developing a strategy for dealing with one of the issues that remain critical for the public safety.
Obviously, the future of the public health will change due to the number of factors. Whereas the old approaches and principles will be revised, the new ones will be introduced simultaneously. First of all, the new systems will be based on the partnership among the key stakeholders. The changes and positive initiatives cannot be implemented alone (Frieden, 2010). The state should be on good terms with the companies, corporations and the public on the whole in order to attain the aim of creating the effective system of public health that will indeed meet, at least, half of the needs of the population (Frieden, 2015). Alone, the government can introduce some of the projects, which, however, would either work only in relation to certain communities or will not succeed at all due to the miscommunications and resistance among the community members.
Apart from that, voters should require from the politicians to include and prioritize the pub health issues in their political agenda. These matters should be widely discussed so that electors will know what to expect from their candidate, and, more importantly, what to demand from him (European Public Health Association, 2005). Another essential task and challenge for the public health officials and implementations is the changing and revising of their goals. Nowadays, most of them aim at fighting diseases and their consequences or at least, at minimizing their detrimental effects. However, they should strive more for the positive changes that they will be able to introduce, for example, to create the conditions that will enable the reading of diseases and that will improve the health of the citizens of the USA. In other words, their task is to restate their goals and set the positive vision of the future.
One of the aspects of the public health that I would be willing to improve is the workplace safety. The main reason that stimulates me is that the average American actually spends half of his life or more in the workplace being open to the various hazards, which eventually tend to be extremely detrimental to his health and cause death in most data cases. Of course, nowadays workplaces differ a lot in design and equipment and are usually adjusted to the needs of employees. However, there should be the general guidelines for the industries introduced by the governmental agencies. Apart from that, the workers of the narrowed fields should elaborate the safety rules that are to be supported by the government and forced by it. Many people might stress that changes in workplaces might be costly or even become an unbearable burden for some of the companies. However, they should first consider the expenses needed to cover the medical services of their employees as well as the decrease of their productivity as a result of the hazardous working environment.
In conclusion, it should be stressed that the public health system officials have a lot of challenges to confront and tasks to accomplish in order to ensure the safety for all, at least in relation to the healthcare sector. The paper also stresses on the importance of making the working conditions more health-friendly and appropriate for the needs of the employees. One of the ways that are offered for achieving this aim is the creation of the lasting partnership among the state, companies and employees, common elaboration and enforcement of these recommendations across the nation.
