Description of the project

The project is set to remove an old railway embankment which is adjacent to a canal with a high voltage electricity line and high pressure gas main crossing the site. The old railway embankment will be removed and two number 360° slew tracked excavators will then load some ten eight wheel tripper trucks. The excavated material will then be taken to a land fill site by the ten trucks.

Works sequence

In order to remove the old railway embankment, there are steps and activities that will be done so as to complete the work. First all the required equipment should be made available. These equipments are those that will remove the old railway embankment from the site and the excavators that will be used to load the excavated material to the trucks. These trucks should also be made available so that they will transport the excavated material to a land fill site. Second, the old railway embankment will be removed by the available equipments and personnel with a lot of care due to the presence of the high voltage electricity line and high pressure gas main crossing the site.

Man power is one of the vital resource that is going to be used in the whole project as expertise will be required in the removal of the embankment and in the operation of the machinery that are going to be used.
